Creating promotions as a Coop admin

  1. Click on Restaurant
  2. Click on the Promotions button at the top of the Restaurant list
  3. Here you can create a promotion.
  4. By clicking Add two options will be displayed:
    1. Create a free delivery
    2. Create a credit note

    The Promotions page displays both free delivery and credit note promotions.

    Usage limit

    Type a number indicating the amount of times you want this free delivery promotion to be used for.

    This is a general overall limit. See below Per customer usage limit.

    INFO: On the Promotions list page you can see on the last column on the right the number of times a CODE has been used. In order to increase the Usage limit for the same CODE you need to add the new number of times on top of the current number. If Usage limit was 5 and the CODE has been used 5 times and you want to allow for the CODE to being used 10 more times, you need to write 15 under Usage limit.

    Expires at

    Select an expiry date after which the promotion cannot be used any longer.

    TIP: This can be used in combination with Usage limit. You can allow a promotion to be used five (5) times for one (1) week.

    Per customer usage limit

    Here you can set a number to limit how many times the customers can use the promotion.

    EXAMPLE: Usage limit is set to 10 and Per customer usage limit is set to 1, this means that the promotion can be used by 10 different customers, each using it only once. If Per customer usage limit is set to 2 it means that the promotion can be used by 5 different customers, each using it twice.

    Code

    Here is where you type in the CODE that will be given to customers so they can use in order to get free delivery.
    You can write any kind of code you want.

    IMPORTANT: Once a promotion has been Saved the CODE cannot be modified and promotions cannot be Deleted.

    Create a credit note

    Name

    Type the name of the Credit note so that you can easily distinguish between mutliple credit notes. This name will also de displayed in the cart to the customer.

    Discount type

    Fixed enables you to offer a fixed amount discount off the total Order. Percentage enables you to offer a percentage discount off the total Order.

    Amount

    Depending on the selection under Discount type the Amount field will change its name between Amount and Percentage.

    User

    Allows the selection of a user that is registered on the platform. If a User is selected the Credit Note can only be used by the selected user.

    If left blank any User can use the Credit Note.

    Restaurant

    Allows the selection of a Restaurant. The Credit Note will only be usable when ordering at the selected Restaurant.

    If left blank the Credit Note can be used with any Restaurant.

    Code

    Here is where you type in the CODE that you must give to customers so they can apply the discount with.
    You can write any kind of code you want.

Creating promotions as a Restaurant admin

On the Restaurant settings page, click More options on the top bar on the right hand side and select Promotions.

IMPORTANT: Promotions cannot be edited once saved.
  1. By clicking Add two options will be displayed:
    1. Offer delivery fees
    2. Based on items total

Based on items total

Name

Type the name of the Promotion so that you can easily distinguish between them. This name will also de displayed in the cart to the customer.

Above items total

Type a number indicating the value of the Order above which the discount will be applied.

Apply a discount of

Type a number indicating the discount which will be applied only when the Order value is above a specified amount.

Usage limit

Type a number indicating the amount of times you want this promotion to be used for.

Starts at - Ends at

Here you can indicate a start and end date and time when the promotion can be used.
